Learning outdoors
The outside learning environment is as important as the indoor classroom areas. Children enjoy playing outside and the development of their physical skills promotes their intellectual development. The range of activities offered outside supports children’s learning in all areas of the curriculum. Children will be encouraged to problem solve and take risks in large construction and to use their imagination to engage in role play.
We are proud of our growing garden and each year develop this with the children. We have fully grown fruit trees and vegetable patches where children can grow from seed to fully grown and edible food! Currently the children have access to pears, apples, figs, strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, grapes, and a range of herbs and spices.
We have been working hard to develop our bug hotels and create spaces for our mini beast friends to live.
Children at Triangle go outside in all weathers and we have raincoats, waterproof trousers and Wellington boots for all children; you are welcome to bring your own too!
